iSWAT™ Test Solution
|
iSWAT™ Test Solution is the protocol testing and analyzing tool of choice for IP storage networking developers using the iSCSI protocol interface. This application suite is the first protocol-tester on the market that incorporates all the professional features and functionality required for iSCSI protocol testing within a single, feature-rich test environment. iSWAT provides IP Storage Area Network (SAN) developers with a mode for testing iSCSI behavior in heterogeneous, high bandwidth IP SAN or Gigabit Ethernet.

Highlights
|
iSCSI traffic generation and monitoring Initiator and Target testing modules Error injection commands and report generation Built-in iSCSI failure detection and auto recovery SCSI drive target as well as target emulation Incorporates many sample scripts Both interactive and script-based testing modes SCSI and iSCSI command sets implemented
Designed to meet a variety of development-specific needs, the iSWAT product line offers a number of modular software units for basic testing requirements, such as initiator traffic generation, while also providing advanced features, such as error injection and multi-device emulation.
IP Storage developers using the iSWAT benefit from a convenient and cost-effective test solution for iSCSI-based product debugging, with reduced overhead.
Additionally, iSWAT is a powerful demonstration tool for vendors looking for a way to demonstrate the functionality of their products with integrated iSCSI technology, without the need to actually establish an IP Storage Area Network (SAN).

iSWAT Initiator Module
|
iSWAT Initiator implements the iSCSI protocol internally, using a standard NIC adapter instead of an expensive Host Bus Adapter (HBA). This allows comprehensive control over the iSCSI protocol, including error injection and built-in error detection. iSWAT Initiator allows both interactive and script based command execution

iSWAT Target Module
|
iSWAT Target implements the iSCSI protocol internally, using a standard NIC adapter. This allows comprehensive control over the iSCSI protocol, including error injection and built-in error detection. Target emulation is optional in a high level SCSI command module, as well as in a low level SCSI script module.
Initiator development may be facilitated with iSWAT Target for high performance as well as for high storage capacity. Using an internal RAM buffer enables a very high performance test condition. A high capacity target (up to the available free space of system drive) may also be emulated. A SCSI Drive Target option may be added for both high performance and high storage capacity tests.

SCSI Drive Target Module
|
Installable on top of the iSWAT Target module, this optional module enables real SCSI target functionality, practically replacing the need for a real IP Storage device to be installed in a test network – at considerable cost savings and less complexity.
